Signs in the heavens

No I don't believe in astrology.  But hasatan is always twisting the truth, isn't he? So we can expect some truth behind what is considered to be astrology.  Many books have been written about the gospel as presented through the constellations in the nighttime sky. These presentations will cover the correspondence between the constellations and the Hebrew months.

Two classes coming up

On Shabbat, April 18, I will be teaching a class for beginning readers in Toccoa, GA.  We will touch on finer reading skills, some grammatical markers, and interesting points we can learn from the text.

On the Just Reading Torah skype group, I will be teaching a basic verb class, how to understand the basics of binyanim (moods) and how to recognize tenses.  I'll let you know when it starts, but for now, you can get signed up with the group by contacting Alef2Torah on skype or Facebook.

Recommended listening

Nehemiah Gordon has taken to putting a recording of the weekly haftarah on his website each week.  He has a nice Israeli accent, good diction and is very expressive in his intonation.  You can find his reading at his website: http://www.nehemiaswall.com/prophet-pearls.

*****Disclaimer: I neither endorse nor un-endorse the interpretive discussions of Torah and haftarah and anything other thing which appear on his website.
